President: Ellen K. Williams, M.D., M.Ed.
Ellen Williams is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Education. She worked for many years as an internist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School. She has been a teacher of high school biology and special education, co-founded a charter school in Boston, and served as a board member of several schools.
Clerk: Karen Meyerhoff Sweet
Karen Meyerhoff Sweet is a graduate of Harvard College and the Shady Hill School Teacher Training Course. She worked for years as a dealer in contemporary art and more recently as a teacher of French and Spanish. Karen is an active volunteer in a number of organizations that focus on the health and education of children.
Treasurer: George Estes
George Estes worked for many years as a partner at Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo, a Boston money management firm that serves institutional clients, including many foundations and endowments. He analyzed the credit of emerging countries for mutual funds that invest in their sovereign debt. Earlier in his career he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras. He stayed in Honduras as Field Director for PLAN International, an NGO working in community development. He also worked for PLAN in Mali. He has served on several non-profit boards.
Lawrence G. Miller, M.D., M.P.H, M.Phil
Larry Miller is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, Cambridge University in the U.K., and the Boston University School of Public Health. He has worked with a large number of start-up companies in the area of biotechnology. He is currently the CEO and Board Chair of Apnimed, Inc.
David Grey
David Grey received his B.S. in economics from Northeastern University. He is the former President and CEO of Ipswich Bank and is currently the President of Family Fiduciary Services, a Registered Investment Advisor in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Robert W. Sweet, J.D.
Robert Sweet is a graduate of Harvard College and Northeastern School of Law. He retired as a partner of Foley Hoag LLP in Boston after a 37-year career as a corporate lawyer. He is a trustee of the Boston Medical Center Health Plan, a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Boston Medical Center System Board, and a trustee of Bridge Boston Charter School.
James S. Miller, M.D., M.P.H.
Jay Miller is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has spent several years living in Uganda, where he has worked on community health worker programs with Doctors for Global Health and with MGH Global Health. He currently works in domestic public health as Health Officer for Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, and has previously worked for the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health.
Celeste Robb-Nicholson, M.D., M.P.H.
Celeste Robb-Nicholson is a graduate of Harvard College, University of North Carolina School of Public Health and Duke Medical School. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She has served as the Editor of the Harvard's Women's Health Watch and is the Medical Director of Primary Care Office InSite. Celeste has held a variety of senior administrative positions at the Massachusetts General Hospital related to medical student and medical resident education and information technology. She is on the advisory board for Boston Trinity Academy, a day school for children from 6th-12th grade in Hyde Park, Boston.
