Our Promise to Donors

At Kisoro Children's Foundation, we pledge to use all donated funds to support appropriate organizations that will, through their programs and activities, further the education and welfare of children and families. We will only provide financial support to organizations that we have personally visited and where we have met the individuals involved. Organizations in Uganda will need to be governmentally-recognized, non-profit, community-based organizations or national non-governmental organizations in order to receive funds from the Kisoro Children’s Foundation. Grants will be made to organizations for specific purposes as outlined in the grant requests made by those organizations.

We have no employees and rely exclusively on volunteer efforts to engage in this work. Funds donated to the organization will never be used for travel, as all necessary travel will be privately funded by the corresponding individuals. The minimal necessary administrative expenses of the Foundation, such as government filing fees and insurance, will be contributed by the founders and will not come out of any donations given by others.

Kisoro Children’s Foundation is designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. A gift to the Foundation will be fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
